Regal earns FAA Diamond Award for Excellence in Maintenance
Dallas, Texas -- November 1, 2005
The Aviation Maintenance Technician Awards program honors Aviation
Maintenance Technicians (AMTs) and employers who have surpassed initial
and recurrent training standards as set forth by The Federal Aviation
Administration (FAA). As a result, the FAA has issued awards based on
training received in one calendar year.
On November 1, seven members of the Regal Aviation Maintenance
Department and the company as a whole, received honors of distinction from the
FAA. The awards were presented by Director Tom Collins of the FAA's
Dallas Flight Standards District Office. The seven maintenance
technicians earned awards at various levels of the program. Regal as an
operator received the Diamond Certificate of Excellence - the highest award
for any operator in the program.
The program has five levels, or phases, of recognition for both
individuals and the employer. Awards include an FAA Certificate of Training
and a distinctive tie tack/lapel pin.
